Incredibly excited for “Incredibad”
I have this “thing” with the show Saturday Night Live. I don’t know what it is about that show…
How can I put this gently, ummm… I just…
I am obsessed, ok? Yeah, I admit it, and I have learned to deal with this fact.
Some months ago I focused my attention on one of the cast members, which I found particularly funny, Andy Samberg.
Samberg and his two long time buddies Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone made thier SNL debuts in Sep. 2005. Samberg was hired as a cast member, while Schaffer, and Taccone were hired as staff writers for the show.
The ‘genius’ comedy trio, known in their college days as The Lonely Island, is most famous for their hit SNL Digital Shorts, which include “Lazy Sunday (ft. Chris Parnell)”, “D**k in a Box (ft. Justin Timberlake),” and most recently “J**z in my Pants“.
The Lonely Island, also known as “The Dudes”, can now add one more accomplishment to their list of comedy awesomeness.
Incredibad, the trio’s first comedy album, hits stores Feb. 10. Incredibad will feature 19 tracks including many of the SNL Digital Short’s songs, in addition to new material written and performed by “The Dudes” with cameos by Jack Black, Norah Jones and T-Pain.
The album will also feature a bonus DVD with videos and Digital Shorts.
I’m very excited about the album, and if the new material is nearly half as hysterical as the stuff already out, I will be one happy little girl!
Watch the latest SNL Digital Short, “I’m on a Boat (ft. T-Pain),” part of The Lonely Island’s debut album Incredibad. (Clean version will not allow embeding, sahwy!)
